WHAT IS PARENTS WITH A PLAN?

Every parent of a child with autism or an intellectual/developmental disability asks the same question: What happens when I'm no longer able to care for my child? Parents With A Plan exists to create, innovate and provide best in class supportive housing solutions.

Fulfilling A Need

Our goal is to build a model community for adults with autism and related developmental disabilities. Across the United States, 500,000 individuals with autism are aging into adulthood each year. Today, 1 in 59 children will be diagnosed with autism — in New Jersey, the CDC puts that rate at 1 in 34. Parents With A Plan is developing thought leadership and real solutions to address the housing and lifespan needs of this underserved population.

We are a 501(c)(3) organization of parents, families, and legal and housing professionals building private, best-practice housing solutions for special needs young adults. We believe every individual deserves a high quality of life, and that starts with a home of their own — one built around person-centered, supportive living.

We bring together like-minded industry leaders to solve the growing “post-21” housing shortage for neurodiverse adults, using private capital to create best-in-class communities layered with employment and community-based services.
